MPI San Diego’s 2018-2019 President, IE’s Peggy Jewell

We could not be more proud to announce that our very own Peggy Jewell (Innovative Entertainment Executive Producer) is the incoming 2018-2019 President for Meeting Professionals International – San Diego Chapter! With over 25 years of corporate event industry experience, Peggy has established herself as an industry leader. She has served as the President for the Association of Bridal Consultants San Diego (2004-2008), Board Member for ILEA San Diego, on the Communications Committee for MPI San Diego and has served on many San Diego charitable boards and projects. For many years, Peggy was a faculty member at the University of San Diego and California State University at San Marcos and taught in their prospective Event Management Certification Programs. In 2011, Peggy received ‘Instructor of the Year’ from the University of San Diego.

Spencer Bezy, owner of Mobile Music Plus and MPI San Diego Board Member, shared with us:
“We’re looking forward to a great year at the MPI San Diego Chapter, Peggy brings an amazing attitude, new ideas and a unique perspective to the chapter and is known and respected throughout our industry. She inspires and brings out the best in our Board of Directors, and is creating positive momentum that has members new and veteran stepping up and asking how they can help. I think what I like most about Peggy is that she isn’t afraid to ask why we do things a certain way and to challenge the team to always look for ways to improve the processes that MPI is known for.”

Peggy is a former voiceover artist and singer, a San Diego native, and believes that no event is too small or too big. She deems herself an entertainment ‘Match Maker’ and puts equal value on the client and the artist. We KNOW that she is going to lead in this new position with both industry expertise and passion that will take the chapter to the next level. Congratulations Peggy – we look forward to watching you (and this year’s Board of Directors) do great things!

The 2018 MPI San Diego Gala was one for the books.  The event was held at the University of San Diego – Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies. Innovative Entertainment showed up in force to support Peggy. We had amazing entertainment activation in all spaces. Entertainment included San Diego favorite, Pop Nouveau, amazing live event painter Stephen Fishwick, dinner entertainment the Brian Stoddard Duo, and featured entertainment The Company Men.

Jamie Snively, Nicole Bernardi, Nichole Carlson and Fred Meyer, part of our IE Southern California team, made it to the event to be cheerleaders for Peggy Jewell.

We sat down with Peggy earlier in the year for one of our fun Meet the Team interviews. Make sure to check it out here.
