America’s Got Talent Spotlight: Kechi Okwuchi

Looking for inspirational talent for your next corporate event? Kechi Okwuchi not only has an outstanding singing voice, hers is an amazing story of survival and renewal.

A finalist on America’s Got Talent, Kechi found her true voice after a horrific accident. In 2005, she was one of only two survivors in a plane crash that took the lives of 107 passengers. A 16-year old high school senior in Nigeria at the time, she lost 66 of her classmates. Okwuchi suffered 3rd degree burns over 65% of her body and spent the next years undergoing painful surgeries and recovery. She used music as healing therapy and discovered that as a result of the accident, her singing voice had changed.

Kechi began performing at her church, family events, galas, and burn and trauma fundraisers. Her desire was simply to share her love of music with those she wanted to inspire. Becoming a finalist on America’s Got Talent was a dream realized for her. In 2018, she released her first single, Don’t You Dare. She is a traveling artist, an inspirational speaker, and a burn survivor advocate for multiple burns survivor organizations, including Shriner’s Burns Hospital. “Your scars do not define you,” is Kechi’s mantra.

Book Kechi Okwuchi as a performer or speaker for your next corporate event. Finding happiness, success and life after trauma is the tune of hope that she wants to share with everyone she meets!
