One of the most exciting experiences of 2017 so far has been our team attending The Special Event Conference and Tradeshow (TSE) this past January. It isn’t often that we get the chance to have most of our Innovative Entertainment team attend the same conference (or event), but stars aligned when this year’s conference was held in our backyard, Long Beach, California! Enjoy some of our favorite moments from the week that included: the education conference; two booths on the exhibit floor; and having IE exclusive artist, Alter Ego, as the main entertainment for TSE’s Closing Night Party!
PLANNING COMMITTEE, CLOSING NIGHT PARTY
Planning committees are an integral part of the success of each of The Special Event’s showcase and networking events. This year, Innovative Entertainment was pleased to have IE Executive Producer Peggy Jewell placed in a lead planning role on the Closing Night Party committee. Alongside Event Chair, Robb Thornsberry, President of Infinity Events, Peggy and this committee covered everything from strategy to logistics, producing a celebration to remember! Special thanks from our team to this committee for all their hard work and dedication!
EDUCATION CONFERENCE
We we’re thrilled to have Jamie Snively, Innovative Entertainment’s Director of Marketing, as a panel speaker for one of this year’s conference education sessions. Jamie’s session, THE BALANCING ACT: #EventParents Raising Kids, Staying Sane, and Producing Kickass Events was filled with event professionals that are also parents. As an experienced event professional and parent of two, Jamie shared firsthand insights on what it takes to maintain a healthy family plus work balance, while working in the events industry. The entire panel of veteran event professionals for this session shared tips, resources and lots of compassion. Attendees left with a better knowledge of how to balance being a parent that’s also an event professional.
TRADESHOW
In Long Beach, Innovative Entertainment exhibited with two booths this year at The Special Event. It was a bustling and busy two days of exhibiting. Our team took full advantage of meeting in-person with event professionals and industry buyers from around the world – making some new friends, and re-connecting with many old!
CLOSING NIGHT AFTER-PARTY
We were thrilled to be an entertainment sponsor this year for the Closing Night After-Party – showcasing Exclusive Artist, Alter Ego! With this band’s non-stop, all dance repertoire the energy was off the chart and contagious. Conference attendees danced from the very first down beat ’til the last song was played!
